Colorado Springs & Interurban Railway
Guided tours of the museum and restoration shop highlights the stories of the railways and railroads in Colorado Springs as well as the people who built them.
They present a collection of street cars from various areas of Colorado as well as Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. They also have a collection of interurban electric buses as far back as 1940. Additionally, you also have the opportunity to ride in a street car from 1947.
As part of their mission, they are continually working on restoring projects, so there is always something new to see.
Some of their fleet include a Birney car and a Denver Tramway Corporation Electric Trolley Bus No. 519. They have volunteer opportunities available.
