Center of Southwestern Studies
The Center of Southwestern Studies will open after construction in February 2017. One of their ongoing displays is the Coolbaugh Collection of Historic Native American Dolls.
Their previous collections include Parks, People, Preservation: Celebrating the National Park Service in the Southwest, Thunder in Our Voices which was a perspective of how the oil and gas pipelines across indigenous people’s land affects the people who live there and Rare II: Imperiled Plants of Colorado. This exhibit was designed to introduce the public to the most imperiled plants in Colorado and educate them on the importance of protecting them.
